Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Subway Sandwiches & Salads. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality food and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service counter attendants and food preparers to ensure efficient and effective service.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation to ensure that food meets quality control standards.
    • Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to optimize inventory management.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that customer feedback is addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
    • Establish work schedules and ensure that staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Client focus and excellent oral communication skills.
    • Efficient interpersonal skills and flexibility.
    • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
  • Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
