Salary Range : $100,000 - $115,000 annually

Key Responsibilities :

Staff Leadership

Recruit, oversee, and inspire team members; provide constructive feedback and coaching aligned with performance management and career growth. Collaborate with Human Resources to address and resolve performance-related challenges. Facilitate training and development opportunities for team members.

Financial Oversight

Modify financial management and reporting practices to meet organizational requirements. Evaluate and enhance processes to boost operational efficiency. Ensure adherence to financial policies and reporting standards.

Budgeting and Financial Planning

Engage in operational planning and the formulation of annual and multi-year budgets, ensuring compliance with established guidelines. Generate monthly financial forecasts based on thorough analysis and share with relevant stakeholders. Prepare regular reports highlighting key financial and operational metrics to support informed decision-making.

Administrative Management

Supervise the management of facilities and administrative functions. Guide the administration team to ensure effective support services. Guarantee operational needs are met efficiently.

Health and Safety Compliance

Encourage participation in mandatory health and safety training. Foster respectful communication among all personnel to promote a safe workplace. Adhere to health, safety, and quality assurance protocols to protect employees and clients.

Qualifications :

A university degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline, along with a professional accounting designation (CPA). At least 5 years of relevant experience or a suitable combination of education and experience. Experience managing a team in a unionized setting is advantageous. Background in philanthropy or non-profit sectors is preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices is essential. Excellent communication skills in both French and English, with the ability to engage effectively with executives. Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel (advanced), Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively and build productive relationships. Exceptional attention to detail and analytical capabilities. Outstanding organizational and time-management skills. Ability to think creatively and solve problems effectively.

Working Conditions :

This hybrid role is based in Montreal. In-office attendance may be necessary based on job demands. Flexibility in working hours may be required for on-call duties and emergency responses. Most tasks will be conducted in an office environment. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada. Successful candidates will undergo a pre-employment screening process, including a police information check. Applicants may need to perform job responsibilities in English.
