Overview:

Telesat is a prominent global satellite operator with over 50 years of experience in delivering reliable and secure satellite communication solutions to a diverse clientele, including broadcast, telecommunications, corporate, and government sectors. Our innovative Telesat Lightspeed Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network, set to launch in the near future, aims to transform global broadband connectivity by offering high capacity, security, and affordability with ultra-low latency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, articulate, and implement effective sales strategies for both LEO and GEO services, focusing on government and enterprise sectors.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of the competitive landscape and market dynamics to ensure our proposals are compelling and high-value.
  • Serve as the enthusiastic advocate for Telesat's LEO services, clearly communicating the unique advantages of our Lightspeed capabilities.
  • Promote the Telesat brand with dedication and conviction.
  • Engage potential clients through proactive outreach, including cold-calling and lead generation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, fostering trust and credibility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with Telesat's overarching business strategy.
  • Participate in strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, resource allocation, and reporting.
  • Create persuasive presentation materials, including corporate overviews and service highlights.
  • Educate prospective clients about our comprehensive range of services, encompassing both LEO and Geostationary Orbit (GEO) offerings.
  • Work closely with colleagues to nurture a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Champion teamwork, innovation, and excellence within the organization.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years in sales with a proven track record, ideally within the satellite communication sector.
  • Passion: A strong belief in the transformative potential of LEO technology.
  • Communication: Fluently bilingual with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to establish and nurture strong relationships with customers at all levels, including C-suite executives.
  • Strategic Thinking: A strategic mindset with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing market.
  • Leadership Aspiration: A desire to progress into a leadership role as the Regional Director of Sales for Canada.
