About the Role

CMHA Halton Region is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Manager, Crisis Services and Operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality crisis services to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve crisis services and operations
    • Represent CMHA Halton Region at regional crisis tables to drive sector forward
    • Conduct environmental scans to identify opportunities and risks to crisis programs
    • Support funder applications and expressions of interest for crisis programming
  • Service/Program Delivery
    • Support planning, implementation, and delivery of crisis services and programs
    • Manage day-to-day operations of crisis programs
    • Ensure delivery of services in accordance with mandated, funded, legislated, and accredited standards
    • Implement best-practices and evidence-based standards for crisis intervention and outreach management
  • People Leadership
    • Lead and motivate a team of crisis service professionals
    • Provide consultation and guidance on clinical service provision and crisis program design
    • Ensure regular feedback and coaching to team members
  • Quality, Safety & Risk Management
    • Provide input and evaluation to promote program advancement and quality improvements
    • Work closely with the Crisis Team Lead to identify development opportunities and collaborate on staff needing/seeking professional assistance
    • Coordinate COAST/9-8-8 responses and resources needed as a result of daily/weekly Halton Region Police Service meetings
Qualifications
  • University degree in a healthcare, social services, or nursing-related discipline
  • Registration with the relevant regulating college
  • Master's degree considered an asset
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a leadership role
  • At least five years of relevant experience in mental health and addiction services
  • Ability to provide effective clinical guidance and lead equity, diversity, and inclusion practices
  • Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on mentoring, motivating, and engaging employees
  • Knowledge of the healthcare environment, including regional and provincial mental health and addiction systems
  • Knowledge of current provincial mental health policy and applicable legislation
