Role Overview
As a Junior Associate Director in Client Operations, you will report directly to the Senior Associate Director. Your key responsibilities will encompass:
- Leading a team of fund accountants to ensure timely and accurate client deliverables, including NAV calculations and financial reporting.
- Fostering a culture of engagement and efficiency within your team to meet organizational objectives.
- Collaborating with investment managers, brokers, and auditors to resolve daily operational challenges.
- Coordinating with various departments, including finance and regulatory reporting, to ensure all deliverables are met.
- Participating in system enhancement initiatives and identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies.
- Overseeing the accuracy of client deliverables while adhering to service level agreements.
- Managing the audit process and reviewing financial statements prepared by internal or external parties.
- Ensuring compliance with operational controls as outlined in SOC1 and completing all relevant checklists.
- Timely billing and collection of fees for your assigned team.
- Contributing to system projects and generating ideas for future process improvements.
- Addressing any ad-hoc tasks as required by clients or the organization.
Qualifications
- A university degree with a focus on finance or accounting.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in the fund administration sector, including staff management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
- A comprehensive understanding of the fund administration landscape, including various fund structures and financial instruments.
- Experience with fund accounting software such as Geneva, Investran, or Yardi is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg is a plus, though not mandatory.
