Role Overview
As a Junior Associate Director in Client Operations, you will report directly to the Senior Associate Director. Your key responsibilities will encompass:
- Overseeing a team of fund accountants tasked with delivering essential client outputs, including NAV calculations, financial reports, and related documentation.
- Fostering a highly trained and motivated team to achieve organizational objectives efficiently.
- Collaborating with investment managers, brokers, and auditors to resolve daily operational challenges.
- Coordinating with various departments such as Investment Operations, finance, regulatory compliance, and banking to ensure timely delivery of services.
- Engaging in numerous system enhancement initiatives, both globally and locally, while identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies.
- Ensuring the precision of client outputs generated by your team, adhering to service level agreements.
- Managing the audit process and preparing or reviewing financial statements as necessary.
- Guaranteeing compliance with operational controls as outlined in SOC1 and ensuring all relevant checklists are completed.
- Overseeing timely billing and collection of fees for your assigned team.
- Participating in various system projects and contributing innovative ideas for future process or technological advancements.
- Handling any additional tasks as required by clients, the organization, or team members.
Qualifications
- A degree in finance or accounting from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in the fund administration sector, including supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
- A comprehensive understanding of the fund administration landscape, including various fund structures, fee calculations, financial instruments, and fund documentation review.
- Experience with fund accounting software such as Geneva, Investran, or Yardi is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg is a plus, though not mandatory.
