About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Pet Valu. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring operational excellence in our retail stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Merchandise Management
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets
    • Manage merchandise inventory levels, including ordering and receiving stock
    • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of sales transactions
  • Customer Experience
    • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and coach a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members
  • Store Operations
    • Ensure the store is maintained in a clean and organized manner, adhering to company standards
    • Manage store inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise
    • Monitor and control store expenses, including labor and inventory costs
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail sales or management role
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
