Position Overview:

We are in search of a highly qualified and seasoned Senior Photonics Test Engineer to become a member of our team. The successful candidate will possess a Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in photonic testing and measurement. Expertise in Python, database management, and algorithm development is crucial. This position entails spearheading the creation and execution of advanced testing protocols to guarantee the performance, reliability, and quality of our laser solutions.

Key Duties:

  • Oversee the development, execution, and upkeep of sophisticated testing protocols for photonic components and systems.
  • Perform thorough testing and characterization of laser solutions to ensure adherence to performance standards.
  • Design and refine custom test setups and measurement systems tailored to specific project needs.
  • Examine intricate test data to identify patterns, resolve issues, and offer actionable insights for enhancements.
  • Create and implement algorithms for data analysis and automation of testing processes.
  • Administer and maintain test databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for analysis and reporting.
  • Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to integrate testing processes into product development cycles.
  • Document testing procedures, results, and findings in comprehensive technical reports and present them to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in photonics and semiconductor testing.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers and team members.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in photonic testing and measurement, particularly in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of photonic devices, laser systems, and optical components.
  • Proficiency in Python programming, with experience in developing algorithms for data analysis and automation.
  • Experience with database management and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Amazon Web Service, Python, C++).
  • Expertise in utilizing test equipment such as optical spectrum analyzers, power meters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to document and present technical information clearly.
