Position Overview:

We are in search of a highly qualified and seasoned Senior Photonics Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in photonic testing and evaluation. Expertise in Python, database management, and algorithm development is crucial. This position entails spearheading the creation and execution of sophisticated testing protocols to guarantee the performance, reliability, and quality of our laser solutions.

Key Duties:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and upkeep of advanced testing protocols for photonic components and systems.
  • Perform thorough testing and characterization of laser solutions to ensure adherence to performance benchmarks.
  • Craft and refine custom test setups and measurement systems tailored to specific project needs.
  • Examine intricate test data to discern trends, resolve issues, and provide actionable insights for enhancements.
  • Develop and apply algorithms for data analysis and automation of testing workflows.
  • Administer and sustain test databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D and engineering teams to integrate testing processes into product development cycles.
  • Document testing procedures, outcomes, and findings in comprehensive technical reports and present them to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in photonics and semiconductor testing.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers and team members.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in photonic testing and measurement, particularly in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of photonic devices, laser systems, and optical components.
  • Proficiency in Python programming, with experience in developing algorithms for data analysis and automation.
  • Experience with database management and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Amazon Web Service, Python, C++).
  • Expertise in utilizing test equipment such as optical spectrum analyzers, power meters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to document and present technical information clearly.
