Position Overview:
We are on the lookout for a highly qualified Senior Photonics Test Engineer to enhance our team. The successful candidate will possess a Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in photonic testing and evaluation. Expertise in Python programming, database management, and algorithm development is crucial for this role. You will be responsible for spearheading the creation and execution of sophisticated testing protocols to guarantee the performance and reliability of our laser technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and sustain advanced testing protocols for photonic components and systems.
- Conduct thorough testing and characterization of laser technologies to meet performance benchmarks.
- Design and refine custom testing setups and measurement systems tailored to project specifications.
- Analyze intricate test data to identify patterns, resolve issues, and provide actionable insights for enhancements.
- Create and implement algorithms for data analysis and automation of testing workflows.
- Oversee and maintain testing databases, ensuring data accuracy and availability for analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with R&D and engineering teams to integrate testing methodologies into product development processes.
- Document testing procedures, outcomes, and insights in comprehensive technical reports for stakeholder review.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in photonics and semiconductor testing.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers and team members, providing technical support and expertise.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Ph.D. in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in photonic testing and measurement, especially in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of photonic devices, laser systems, and optical components.
- Proficient in Python programming, with experience in developing algorithms for data analysis and automation.
- Experience with database management and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, AWS, Python, C++).
- Skilled in using testing equipment such as optical spectrum analyzers, power meters, and oscilloscopes.
- Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly document and present technical information.
