Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Banquet Porter to join our team at Easton's Group of Hotels. As a Banquet Porter, you will be responsible for setting up and breaking down meeting rooms, banquet space, and ballroom areas, ensuring a seamless experience for our guests.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and break down tables, chairs, audio visual equipment, and platforms/stages as specified by group requirements.
- Clean and store all tables, chairs, and audio/visual equipment, platforms/stages, and other equipment used for banquet functions.
- Maintain the cleanliness of banquet rooms, banquet hallways, and storage and service areas.
- Inspect the cleanliness and working condition of all equipment to be set up in function areas and report any damages or issues to the Supervisor.
- Refresh rooms during breaks by replenishing supplies, water pitchers, etc.
- Retrieve clean linen and skirting and stock in storage areas.
- Pick up and deliver all boxes and materials for functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned, following all Company and Brand Standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
We require basic reading and writing and mathematical skills, as well as general knowledge of banquet operations. This role requires the ability to perform tasks such as remaining stationary for extended periods, carrying or lifting items up to 100 pounds, and moving about function areas.
