Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Cafe Ami. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cafe, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food and beverage offerings meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Lead and manage a team of food service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are meeting their job duties and adhering to our high standards of quality and service.
- Train and Develop Staff: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to help staff improve their skills and knowledge, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent service to our customers.
- Estimate and Manage Inventory: Accurately estimate ingredient and supply requirements to ensure that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand, while minimizing waste and excess inventory.
- Hire and Manage Staff: Recruit, hire, and manage a team of food service staff, ensuring that we have the right people in place to deliver exceptional service and quality.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all food and beverage offerings meet our high standards of quality, taste, and presentation, and that our customers receive exceptional service.
- Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that our customers feel valued and respected.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights to inform our business decisions.
- Scheduling: Establish and manage work schedules to ensure that we have the right staff in place to meet customer demand, while minimizing overtime and labor costs.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
