About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Fabric People & Food Inc. as a key member of our culinary operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food and Supply Management
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure seamless meal preparation and service.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food to maintain high-quality standards.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Quality Control and Customer Service
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards by conducting regular quality checks.
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates to optimize kitchen operations.
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management on kitchen performance and areas for improvement.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a team of 3-4 people. The role requires standing for extended periods, walking, and attention to detail.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
