Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our executive leadership team as the Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. This key role will provide operational leadership to our customer service delivery functions, building strategic relationships with our brokers and associations, and driving the transformation of our operations through Project NOVA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction for the division, ensuring alignment with corporate vision and objectives.
  • Oversee service delivery and demand management, including cross-channel demand and service offering planning.
  • Ensure the delivery of customer service operations through service centres across the province.
  • Manage broker service operations, including contract management and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee contact centre management operations and business development.
  • Design, implement, and assess innovative services that meet the evolving needs of Manitobans.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, practices, standards, and procedures for delivery of all service operations.
  • Conduct field audits to ensure compliance is maintained.
  • Participate on the corporate executive level risk committee and act as an Enterprise Risk Owner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in commerce, business administration, or related field.
  • Fifteen or more years of senior leadership experience in service and operations management, project management, and business improvement and innovation in a complex environment.
  • Senior experience in the insurance or financial services industry is an asset.
  • Completion of one or more professional designations, such as an MBA, is considered an asset.
Technical Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of corporate governance issues and emerging trends in Crown corporations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to plan and manage multiple complex projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to adapt to and effectively lead/sponsor business transformation efforts.
