Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our executive leadership team as the Vice-President & Chief Operations Officer. This key role will provide operational leadership to our customer service delivery functions and build strategic relationships with our business partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning & Transformation:
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to support the corporate vision and direction.
    • Provide expert advice and guidance on operational impacts across business strategies, programs, and services.
    • Drive innovation and creative solutions to address business challenges.
  • Operational & Performance Leadership & Compliance:
    • Oversee service delivery and demand management, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
    • Manage all delivery aspects of insurance and licensing operations, including vehicle registration and driver licensing.
    • Develop and implement processes to identify and address the needs and expectations of Manitobans and MPI departments.
  • People Leadership, Development & Training:
    • Build and sustain a cohesive and collaborative team committed to excellence in service delivery.
    • Ensure employees have the knowledge, awareness, and technical skills to contribute to the Corporation's vision and success.
    • Lead and implement change, supporting employees through proactive communication and issue resolution.
Requirements
  • Over 15 years of senior leadership experience in service and operations management, project management, and business transformation and innovation.
  • Senior leadership experience in the insurance or financial services industry is an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree in commerce, business administration, or related field. Master of Business Administration (MBA) is an asset.
