Position Overview:

The Automotive Sales Consultant will engage with customers through various channels, including online, phone, and in-person interactions, to assist them in the vehicle purchasing journey. Utilizing your exceptional communication and listening abilities, you will guide customers in selecting their ideal vehicle, negotiating terms that align with their financial needs and expectations, all while ensuring a superior customer experience. Our ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 3 years of experience in customer-facing roles, a proactive mindset, and a proven history of building lasting customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist customers entering the showroom, maintaining a professional atmosphere that enhances automotive sales and customer satisfaction
  • Address inquiries regarding new and used vehicles, performance, financing options, and application processes, acting as a knowledgeable resource
  • Utilize strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with potential customers during their vehicle selection and payment term finalization
  • Keep an organized customer database to support ongoing and future automotive sales
  • Showcase both new and pre-owned vehicles through test drives and dealership tours
  • Apply negotiation techniques to successfully complete sales while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Proactively reach out to potential buyers through calls and emails to maintain a full appointment schedule
  • Follow up with past clients to encourage repeat business and referrals, consistently striving for excellence in customer satisfaction
  • Stay updated on required training from the dealership and manufacturers
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old to meet insurance criteria for operating a vehicle
  • Valid documentation for employment eligibility, including a current driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and motor vehicle record screening
  • Flexible availability to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years in a customer-facing position, with a preference for experience in retail, sales, or customer service
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, and lifting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft professional correspondence
