Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Gieni's Carrot River. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cafeteria, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.
Key Responsibilities- Food and Supply Management
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize costs.
- Staff Supervision and Training
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food to ensure efficient service.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Quality Control and Customer Service
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and submit reports to management on food quality, customer feedback, and staff performance.
- Administrative Tasks
- Prepare budget and cost estimates to manage food and supply expenses.
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management decisions.
- Education and Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
- Work Environment and Physical Capabilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Personal Suitability
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependability and ability to work independently.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The successful candidate will be required to work in a cafeteria environment with a moderate to fast-paced workload.
