About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Gieni's Carrot River. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our food service staff, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food and Supply Management
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize costs.
  • Staff Supervision and Training
    • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Quality Control and Customer Service
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Prepare and submit reports on food quality, customer feedback, and staff performance.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates for food and supplies.
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
    • Establish work schedules and supervise staff to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience

Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
