Qualifications and Requirements

Island Health is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Rehabilitation Assistant. To be successful in this position, you will need to have completed a Rehabilitation Assistant Program or have an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Key Skills and Abilities
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Typing skills at 50 words per minute to efficiently document patient information.
  • Ability to operate related equipment, such as computers and medical devices.
