About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at S.P. Lodge. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect and Maintain Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of our facilities to ensure they meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Recommend Services: Identify areas where additional services are required, such as painting, repairs, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Assist with Cleaning Duties: Assist our cleaning staff with their duties as needed, ensuring that all areas of the lodge are maintained to the highest standard.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Certifications: Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Personal Qualities: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, reliability
