About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at S.P. Lodge. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide exceptional service.
  • Inspect and Maintain Facilities: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure our facilities meet the highest standards of safety and cleanliness.
  • Coordinate Work Activities: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and efficient use of resources.
  • Recommend Services: Identify areas for improvement and recommend additional services such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Assist with Cleaning Duties: Assist cleaning staff with their duties as needed to ensure our facilities are always clean and tidy.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Certifications: Occupational Health and Safety Certificate and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a client-focused approach.
Working Conditions
  • Work Setting: Hotel, motel, or resort environment.
  • Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week.
