Position Overview

Hawkesbury General Hospital is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic clinical team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a culture of compassion, innovation, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching and education to patients to manage their respiratory conditions and improve their quality of life.
  • Respond to cardiopulmonary crises and assist in the transport of ill and unstable patients.
  • Act as a smoking cessation advisor and share your expertise with students and staff.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement and emergency preparedness.
  • Promote health and wellness in the community.

Requirements

  • Hold a diploma from an accredited respiratory therapy program and a current General Certificate from the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario.
  • Have relevant hospital experience and demonstrate expertise in critical care and pulmonary function testing.
  • Be up to date with BCLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications, with PALS certification an asset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in French and English.
