Position Summary

CHALLENGES AHEAD
The Anesthesia Care Specialist delivers specialized, high-quality, patient-centered healthcare services for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. This role involves assisting the Anesthesiologist in administering general anesthesia for surgical patients, providing medications, and performing tasks such as sedation. The Specialist also oversees arterial lines and ensures continuous monitoring of anesthesia levels. Additionally, they may fulfill responsibilities typically associated with a Respiratory Therapist.

FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Day shifts (8 hours) from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications We Value

- College Diploma in Respiratory Therapy and General Certificate from the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Assistant Program
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Preferred: Two years in the capacity of an anesthesia assistant
- Current certifications in WHIMIS, BCLS, ACLS, & NRP
- Comprehensive understanding of anesthesiology principles, practices, and equipment
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Capability to perform under pressure
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Commitment to customer service excellence
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
