Job Summary

Mackenzie Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Devices Reprocessing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient reprocessing of medical equipment and devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Decontaminate, reprocess, and sterilize medical equipment and devices to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Manage a workload effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes, exercising sound professional judgment and adhering to best practice guidelines.
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive work environment by adhering to patient and staff safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Secondary School diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a Sterile Processing Technician program or equivalent through an accredited college.
  • At least two years of experience working with complex surgical instruments and operating room instrumentation.
  • Experience with low-temperature sterilization and computer skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and infection control principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) or Sterile Processing Department (SPD).
