Position Overview: The Nunavut Housing Corporation (NHC) is dedicated to addressing the housing needs of Nunavut's rapidly growing population. The NHC's mission includes the coordination and administration of housing programs to ensure equitable access to affordable housing options.
The Director of Policy and Strategic Planning will report directly to the VP of Finance and Corporate Services. This role is pivotal in guiding the development and assessment of NHC's policies and legislative frameworks. The Director will lead strategic planning efforts, focusing on the collection and analysis of housing-related data, and will be responsible for preparing materials for the Minister, President and CEO, and Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate informed decision-making and align strategic initiatives.
- Establish organized planning and policy frameworks.
- Enhance corporate communication strategies.
- Contribute to crisis management and uphold the Corporation's reputation.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess an undergraduate degree in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. A minimum of five years of experience in policy development, strategic planning, and public relations is required, including three years in a managerial capacity.
