About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bakery Assistant to join our team at Dawson City General Store Ltd. As a key member of our bakery department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with daily bakery operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and provide assistance with purchases.
  • Bakery Operations: Assist with baking, decorating, and packaging of bakery goods, including cakes, pastries, and bread.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the bakery department, by sweeping, mopping, and restocking shelves.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with receiving and stocking bakery supplies, including ingredients and equipment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail or bakery environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
Working Conditions

This is a fast-paced environment that requires standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working under pressure. The ideal candidate will be physically fit and able to work in a team environment.
