Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the alignment of casework practice with the Ministry of Children and Family Services' operational goals. As a dynamic leader, you will demonstrate your talents and enthusiasm to coach, mentor, and guide your team within the child intervention practice framework, signs of safety, and Intake and Safety Phase Workflow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of casework practice that prioritizes the safety and well-being of children, youth, and families.
  • Lead and manage a team of Child Intervention Practitioners, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide high-quality services.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities, to ensure that services are culturally sensitive and responsive.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners, ensuring that services are integrated and effective.
  • Provide ongoing case consultation and practice supervision to ensure that casework practice is aligned with the Child Intervention Practice Framework Principles.
Requirements
  • Advanced level of proficiency in the Child Intervention Practitioner competencies, as outlined in the Child Intervention Practice Framework Principles.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities, demonstrating a commitment to reconciliation and cultural sensitivity.
  • Knowledge of the Child Intervention Practice Framework Principles, signs of safety, and Intake and Safety Phase Workflow.
