Job Title: CFS Supervisor

Meadow Lake Tribal Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced CFS Supervisor to join our team. As a CFS Supervisor, you will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing supervision of child protection, prevention, and alternate care services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Personnel Management/Supervision of Staff: Direct supervision of Child Protection Workers, including case consultation and direction, review of case files, and provision of case management feedback to staff.
  • Case Management & Supervision of Case Files: Provide case consultation and direction, review all case files, and provide case management feedback to staff.
  • Program Development and Service Delivery: Ensure program services function within the mandate, standards, policies of the Child & Family Services Act, and encourage staff to develop culturally appropriate methods and interventions within their practice.
  • Identify Barriers and Un-serviced Needs: Identify barriers to effective service delivery and un-serviced needs of children and families necessary to support effective and efficient program administration, service delivery, and accountability.
  • Collaboration and Development: Participate and assist in the ongoing development, design, and expansion of services and procedures required to meet the individual needs of children, families, and communities.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum:
    • Bachelor of Social Work
    • 3-5 years of relevant work experience – i.e., Child Protection/Prevention, CFS Program Management, CFS Personnel and Budgets, etc.
    • 1-2 years of supervisory experience
  • Preferred:
    • Masters of Social Work
    • 5 or more years of relevant work experience – i.e., Child Protection/Prevention, CFS Program Management, CFS Personnel and Budgets, etc.
    • 3-5 years or more of supervisory experience
