Tools Support Specialist

**Job Summary**

Cloud Chamber is seeking a highly organized and proactive Tools Support Specialist to join our development team. As a key member of our team, you will provide first-line support to our programming departments, working closely with our Lead Tools Programmer to ensure the smooth operation of our internal tooling.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide technical support to programmers, resolving issues and ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Assist in implementing automated acceptance and validation tests to ensure the quality of our tools.
  • Collaborate with peers across the globe to develop and maintain processes that provide effective and stable tools.
  • Establish and communicate data validation rules to ensure data integrity.
  • Assist in cleaning and maintaining content data to ensure project success.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Lead Tools Programmer.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding of scripting languages, such as Python.
  • Basic understanding of C++ and/or C#.
  • Experience in creating structure and rigor to processes.
  • Ability to work autonomously with a high degree of resourcefulness.
  • Ability to focus and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and decision making.
  • Advanced knowledge of computers, including operating systems, virtual machines, and cloud computing.
  • Ability to read and understand log files and crash dumps.
  • Experience in debugging applications.
  • Ability to take direction well and work collaboratively with a diverse group of personalities.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a critical eye for detail.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and collaborative mindset.

**Nice to Have**

  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine.
  • Basic knowledge of databases and networks.
  • Familiarity with Source Control Management software.
  • Knowledge of test automation practices and software.
  • Understanding of continuous delivery pipelines and production tools.
