Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver individual and group counseling services to patients in need of addiction treatment and mental health support.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment strategies.
Requirements
  • Minimum of one year experience in individual and group counseling, as well as nursing experience.
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Psychiatric Nursing program or approved Registered Nursing program.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of nursing care practices and relevant standards.
  • Experience in the addictions field and mental health is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
Physical Requirements
  • Good physical and mental health, with the ability to perform the duties of the role.
