Employee Benefits Specialist

Position Overview:
As a vital member of our team, the Benefits Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting our employees' health and welfare plans. This position is responsible for providing second-tier service to employees, ensuring their inquiries are addressed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address all employee inquiries received through the Benefits Center.
- Assist in the management of state and company disability programs.
- Conduct regular audits of various components of health and welfare plans, including payroll deductions and eligibility assessments.
- Identify and resolve eligibility and pricing setup discrepancies, offering viable solutions.
- Review collective bargaining agreements to ensure accurate benefits setup.
- Execute specialized internal data requests as necessary.
- Analyze data to identify key issues and trends from incomplete or conflicting information.
- Respond to requests from various locations and internal departments regarding benefits-related inquiries.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency through relevant training and substantial work experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Employee Benefits, with a foundational understanding of retirement plan administration and compliance.
- Strong analytical skills, organizational abilities, and meticulous attention to detail, particularly in data quality control.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, suitable for all organizational levels and external stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
