Senior Consultant, Labor Affairs
The Senior Consultant, Labor Affairs is instrumental at Paladin Airport Security Services by ensuring that staff are guided in alignment with industry standards and organizational policies. Key responsibilities include:
  • Advising leadership on disciplinary measures, terminations, and compliance with federal employment regulations
  • Effectively mediating disputes and challenges between staff and management
  • Conducting thorough investigations in response to grievances and proposing resolutions
  • Collaborating with diverse departments across the organization
  • Assisting management during Grievance and Arbitration sessions
  • Facilitating training programs on employee relations topics
  • Evaluating employee metrics to uncover trends and enhance strategies
  • Ensuring adherence to employment legislation
  • Possessing in-depth knowledge of Collective Agreements
  • Revising HR policies and procedures as necessary
  • Executing HR strategies that align with the organization's objectives
  • Contributing to various HR initiatives
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in labor relations, human resources, or a related discipline
  • Master's degree is an advantage
  • 5+ years of experience in labor relations
  • CPHR/CRHA certification is beneficial
  • Proficiency in negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Experience working with labor unions
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities
  • Leadership and management expertise
  • Comprehensive understanding of labor laws
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • Adaptability and flexibility in approach
  • Willingness to travel as necessary
