About the Role

Ninepenny Brewing is seeking a skilled and experienced Taproom General Manager to lead the daily operations of our taproom in Conception Bay South, NL.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage cash and credit transactions, including deposits, balances, and tip allocation to the team.
  2. Schedule and manage the taproom team, ensuring adequate staffing levels and support.
  3. Oversee inventory tracking, reordering, and stocking to maintain optimal levels.
  4. Ensure food preparation meets food safety standards and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  5. Develop and implement standard operating procedures based on industry best practices.
  6. Manage human resources functions, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  7. Plan and execute customer engagement initiatives, including events and promotions.
  8. Maintain beer knowledge and provide expert advice on brands, flavors, and pairings.
  9. Ensure the taproom is well-maintained, including draught line maintenance and cleaning.

Requirements

  1. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take initiative and motivate the team.
  2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service and team collaboration.
  3. Results-oriented with a focus on quality and productivity.
  4. Proven management experience, with a track record of leadership and effective communication.
  5. Knowledge of the craft brewing industry and a commitment to ongoing learning and improvement.
