About the Role

The Organizational Change Consultant is responsible for ensuring change initiatives meet project objectives by increasing and enabling stakeholder adoption of new processes and/or technologies, maximizing stakeholder ownership of the change, and minimizing stakeholder resistance.

The Consultant will create and implement change management plans which maximize adoption through employee engagement and minimizes risk. The plan will support process and technology implementation and incorporates tactics to drive faster adoption, greater utilization and higher proficiency.

The role will create and manage target measures to ensure new processes and technologies meet desired adoption, utilization and proficiency goals. The role will be responsible for developing a change management practice for IT Services, including processes, templates, and standards to support the delivery of change management objectives on enterprise projects and IT Services operations.

The role will oversee a portfolio of ongoing change management projects and initiatives, including change governance, resourcing, and reporting around projects. The Consultant requires working through many others in the university to succeed and acting as a coach for project sponsors and executive sponsors to help them fulfill the role of change sponsor.

The role will also work alongside Project Managers to integrate change management activities such as stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and resistance management into their project plans. The role also provides direct support to all levels of managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transition.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with five years of related experience in areas such as organizational change management, stakeholder management, communications and training, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with change management principles, methodologies, standards and tools.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and experience working with project teams to deliver new processes and technologies.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills with strong ability to articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
