About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Designer to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a Technical Designer, you will play a critical role in the development of our games, working closely with level designers, artists, and engineers to create engaging and immersive experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with level designers to design and implement game mechanics and interactables that enhance gameplay.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality game design and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to set priorities and goals.
  • Participate in the review and critique of game design and development.
  • Contribute to the development of technical design infrastructure and best practices.
  • Support and mentor junior team members to help them grow and develop their skills.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience as a technically-oriented game designer, with a focus on multiplayer games.
  • Proven track record of shipping games and contributing to successful game development projects.
  • Strong expertise in visual scripting and game editors such as Frostbite, Unreal, and Unity.
  • Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting game issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Broad knowledge of game development principles and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working on AAA games and FPS games.
  • Strong understanding of game design principles and mechanics.
