Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Team Leader is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and guiding the efforts of assigned personnel. This role involves developing and executing operational methods while ensuring compliance with Teknion's policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for organizing daily departmental functions and executing schedules based on production demands and facility capabilities. Accountable for creating and implementing operational strategies, authorizing overtime, and managing expenses. Tasked with assigning and reviewing the work of designated team members. Responsible for monitoring employee performance and providing assistance in resolving routine issues. Ensures that all quality benchmarks are met while managing production costs, promoting efficient processes in line with company standards. Communicates and reinforces adherence to safety protocols, ensuring a secure work environment for all staff members. Promotes cleanliness and organization to comply with health and safety regulations. Ensures respectful treatment of all team members and enforces the company's disciplinary policies to address unacceptable behaviors. Evaluates and suggests improvements in methods and procedures within the assigned area. Acts as a liaison with other departments or organizations. Monitors departmental activities and prepares reports on performance. Estimates staffing needs and schedules, assigning tasks to meet deadlines. Familiarizes employees with established organizational policies and ensures compliance with departmental procedures. Conducts interviews and recommends candidates for hiring. Responsible for conducting performance assessments and salary reviews for team members.

Required Qualifications:

College diploma or university degree is an asset. 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal abilities. Proven leadership and decision-making capabilities. Exceptional time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Good understanding of Teknion's product offerings. Ability to thrive in a multicultural workplace. Proficient in computer applications. Willingness to work on weekends.
