As a field service technician, you will be an integral part of our support team, where your dedication to delivering outstanding customer service plays a crucial role in achieving our high international customer satisfaction standards. You will serve as a primary point of contact for on-site clients within your designated area, ensuring effective communication in a friendly and helpful manner, while focusing on tailored solutions for each customer.

Your responsibilities will include engaging with customers to address their inquiries and resolve various on-site challenges, some of which may be unique. You will know when to seek assistance and whom to approach for support. Your organizational skills will be essential in managing customer issues and proactively addressing potential concerns. Your training will equip you to provide timely assistance to customers, while you remain vigilant for preventive measures, escalate issues to your supervisors, and represent the NCR brand with pride. Your ultimate aim is to ensure that our customers feel fully supported and satisfied, leveraging your technical knowledge and consistent communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, routine maintenance, and repair of equipment within an assigned territory, ensuring complete trust and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize your technical skills to work on devices such as ATMs, point-of-sale (POS) systems, kiosks, and workstations.
  • Assist in site preparation, which includes cable installation, equipment setup, and basic testing.
  • Safeguard all NCR assets utilized in customer service delivery, including tools, software, vehicles, and documentation, by maintaining accurate records and appropriate inventory levels.
  • Input customer data to facilitate billing and maintain communication with customers to ensure optimal service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status
  • Valid provincial driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Valid passport for travel to the United States for training purposes
  • Positive attitude and adaptability

Additional Information:

  • Prior to commencing this role, you will be required to obtain specific certification at NCR as determined by management.
