Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Harbourview Inn & Suites. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen staff and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and kitchen assistants.
  • Develop and implement menus that showcase our hotel's culinary expertise and appeal to a wide range of tastes and dietary preferences.
  • Source high-quality ingredients and manage inventory to ensure efficient food preparation and minimize waste.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with our events team to create customized menus for weddings, conferences, and other events.
  • Stay up-to-date with culinary trends and best practices, and implement new ideas and techniques in our kitchen.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience as a head chef or executive chef in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Proven track record of leading a team and achieving high-quality results.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
