Position Summary:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), your primary responsibility will be to deliver comprehensive nursing care to individuals, families, and communities, ensuring their safety and health are prioritized. You will employ nursing methodologies that involve critical analysis, problem resolution, and informed decision-making. Additionally, you will provide education, support, and advocacy for patients and their families.

In this capacity, you will assume a pivotal role in fostering a holistic and integrated approach to patient care, health promotion, and wellness maintenance. Your commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care will reflect the core values and vision of Alberta Health Services.

Essential Qualifications:

- Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
- If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five years, completion of specific required courses is necessary.

Additional Qualifications:

- Current certifications in IV therapy, defibrillation, and blood glucose monitoring.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills.
- Evidence of integrity, initiative, and sound judgment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and teamwork.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Accountability for personal practice and a dedication to fostering a positive workplace atmosphere.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and experience in rural settings are advantageous.
- A minimum of one year of experience in an Emergency Room setting is preferred.
