Position Overview:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver comprehensive nursing care to individuals, families, and communities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Your responsibilities will include employing nursing methodologies, utilizing critical thinking, and making informed decisions. You will also educate, counsel, and advocate for patients and their families, fostering a supportive environment.

In this role, you will take on a leadership position, promoting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health enhancement, and maintenance. Your commitment to providing safe, high-quality, patient-centered care will reflect the core values and vision of Alberta Health Services.

Required Qualifications:

- Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
- If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of specific required courses is necessary.

Additional Required Qualifications:

- Current certifications for IV, defibrillation, and blood glucose monitoring.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills.
- Proven integrity, initiative, and sound judgment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and teamwork.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating accountability for your practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Preferred certifications in ACLS, TNCC, and experience in rural settings.
- A minimum of one year of experience in an Emergency Room setting is preferred.
