Job Title: Chief Executive Officer

We are seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the Guelph Public Library. As the head of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our team and developing a strategic plan to drive our mission forward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to the library system
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve our mission and vision
  • Collaborate with the Library Board to set policies and goals
  • Lead a high-performing team of staff to deliver excellent customer service
  • Manage the library's finances and resources to ensure sustainability
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Library Science or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in senior management roles in public libraries or similar organizations
  • Proven track record of leading organizations through transformation and change
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and community partners
