Chief Executive Officer

The Guelph Public Library is seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization in its mission to provide ways for people to explore their world, enrich their lives, and connect with their community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic and operational leadership to the library system, ensuring alignment with the library's vision, mission, and values.
- Develop and execute the library's strategic plan, with a focus on excellence and customer service.
- Lead the library's senior leadership team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the library board, city council, and community partners.
- Ensure the library's financial sustainability, managing budgets and resources effectively.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the library's operations are efficient and effective.
- Represent the library in the community, promoting its services and programs.
- Master's degree in Library Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior management roles within public libraries or similar organizations.
- Proven track record of leading organizations through periods of transformation and change.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to cultivate relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community members, staff, and board members.
