Mold Maintenance Technician

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a skilled Mold Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Mold Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine preventive maintenance on all production tools, including molds, to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
- Tooling Oversight: Oversee all work and work orders for all molds, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- SMED Changes: Manage all SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Dies) changes to production molds, ensuring that all changes are implemented correctly and on time.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain all inserts in cabinets, ensuring that all parts are easily accessible and accounted for.
- Mold Changes and Reporting: Oversee all mold changes and report any issues or concerns to the production team.
- Mold Downtime: Identify and report any mold downtime, working with the production team to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Team Leadership: Direct fellow team members in their daily workload, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Vendor Communication: Work with tooling vendors to repair and maintain molds, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
- Safety and Quality: Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety rules and procedures, and working closely with the Quality department to ensure that all products meet the highest standards.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3-5 years' experience in a maintenance-related position within a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Skills: Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blueprints, schematics, charts, diagrams, etc. Ability to use precision measuring devices, including amp meters, electric meters, and hydraulic gauges. Basic understanding of systems, equipment, and schematics. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Good troubleshooting skills. Basic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractions. Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties.
