At Mauser Packaging Solutions, we are seeking a skilled Mold Technician to join our team. As a Mold Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production tools and molds.
Responsibilities:- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance on all production tools to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Mold Repair: Repair molds as required, utilizing welding and machining techniques to restore functionality.
- Work Order Management: Oversee all work orders for molds, ensuring timely completion and effective communication with team members.
- SMED Changes: Manage SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Dies) changes to production molds, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory of mold parts, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely replenishment.
- Mold Changes and Reports: Oversee mold changes and generate reports to track downtime and performance.
- Team Leadership: Direct fellow team members in daily workload, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Vendor Collaboration: Work with tooling vendors to repair and maintain molds, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Safety and Quality: Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all safety rules and procedures, and collaborate with the Quality department to resolve defects.
- On-Call Program: Participate in the on-call program, being available to work additional hours as required to ensure business continuity.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3-5 years' experience in a maintenance-related position within a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Skills: Ability to interpret documents, use precision measuring devices, and solve practical problems. Basic mathematical skills and ability to work in a professional manner.
