We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Regional Business Director to lead our sales team in Canada. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing and executing business strategies, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve established sales targets and drive business growth.
- Lead and manage a team of sales representatives to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key account personnel, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to support selling, market development, and service efforts.
- Identify opportunities for new business development and develop strategies to capitalize on these opportunities.
- Assess the need for new selling programs and processes, conduct competitive analysis, and implement strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
- Coach sales representatives on the technical aspects of our products and services, marketing campaigns, and sales techniques to help them achieve their sales targets.
- Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR).
- Develop and implement sales strategies that align with the company's overall objectives to maximize and drive sales growth opportunities through enabling closer relationships with customers and patients.
- Execute on annual commercial plan and strategic plan to drive market share growth, long-term profitability, and greater customer engagement.
- Align Canada strategic sales plan to OUs.
- Recommend and influence investment decision making to drive sales performance and margin growth, including go-to-market strategies.
- Design and lead organization structure aligned with required capabilities to win in the market.
- Accountable for execution of product roadmap in assigned region in alignment with company's overall portfolio management strategies.
- Accountable for creating innovative solutions to optimize growth.
- Lead the field sales organization and collaborate with marketing and other stakeholders to increase access and adoption of Medtronic's products by developing and/or executing strategic field activities involving market development, customer education, training, and product messaging.
- In collaboration with Marketing, Strategy, and Business Transformation teams, develop and drive product and service strategies, operational excellence, and compliance with quality systems.
- Collaborate and share accountability with stakeholders and other shared services within Medtronic Canada as well as within the Global Region/Functions and global operating units to create and execute long-term strategies that will drive the full potential of assigned operating units in the Canadian healthcare market.
- Being accountable for the overall revenue and margin attainment for the Canada subregion.
- Instill a culture of innovation, growth, and resilience.
- Seek alignment with Marketing Leader on key strategies and priorities.
- Align with other Sales Leaders on sales strategies, programs, compensation plan.
- Ensure fully integrated strategic sales planning that brings together HSS/SPM, RSDs, and RSMs within the region.
- Member of CLT; take active role in all IBP cycles including Unit Demand Reviews inputs to Marketing teams, Portfolio Mgt Reviews, Management Business reviews, Sales Calls, Strat Plan inputs, AOP, and IBP forecast cycles for revenue and standard gross margins.
- Create and foster a diverse, ethical, accountable, and competitive culture.
- Manage the business to ensure accountability for performance and facilitate the development of talent to build a strong pipeline of sales personnel.
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant sales experience with a bachelor's degree and minimum of 10 years of managerial experience, or;
- Minimum 13 years of relevant sales experience and minimum of 10 years of managerial experience with an advanced degree.
- Strong business acumen and sound judgment to develop and execute strategic plans.
- Demonstrated leadership traits and values – unity, trust, and humility.

We offer a competitive base salary range of $217K - $326K and a comprehensive benefits package.
