Position Summary

As an Internal Accounts Manager, you will play a vital role in cultivating and managing client relationships within our dynamic organization. Your primary focus will be on driving sales, exceeding revenue targets, and fostering long-term partnerships with our valued customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage orders and convert quotations into confirmed sales through proactive customer interactions.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are consistently met and exceeded.
  • Leverage your interpersonal skills to strengthen client connections, expand market share, and drive business growth.
  • Act as a project manager for significant projects, meticulously tracking timelines, updating clients on progress, and ensuring seamless execution.
  • Proactively identify and establish relationships with new clients through targeted outreach campaigns.
  • Consistently achieve or surpass gross profit and sales targets set for your assigned territory.
  • Provide exceptional support to our counter sales team during peak periods, actively engaging with customers and driving sales.
  • Investigate and resolve customer inquiries, such as price deductions and product returns, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely shipment of customer orders and maintain open communication throughout the process.
  • Follow up with customers regarding pending quotations and orders, providing updates and addressing any concerns.
  • Provide comprehensive support to external sales and counter teams by assisting with orders and resolving customer issues.
  • Contribute actively as a team member, supporting all activities within your assigned department.
  • Communicate any potential credit risks associated with customer changes to the Profit Center Manager and Credit Department.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Profit Center Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in customer service or internal sales; entrepreneurial background is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to prospect new clients and increase sales to existing accounts.
  • Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs, offer cost-effective solutions, and close sales effectively.
  • Ability to learn and utilize applicable software systems for order processing.
  • Basic mathematical skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Prior experience or knowledge of plumbing and construction products sold by EMCO Corporation.
  • Experience with Trend and Eclipse software systems.
