Position Overview

The Internal Account Manager will play a crucial role in engaging with clients through various communication channels, ensuring exceptional service to facilitate sales and achieve financial objectives. Your goal will be to foster enduring client relationships while driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process orders and convert quotes into sales through effective client communication, primarily via phone.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with established clients, ensuring their requirements are consistently met.
  • Leverage interpersonal skills to enhance client relations and expand market presence.
  • Oversee large projects as needed, keeping detailed records of timelines and updating clients on any changes.
  • Identify and establish connections with potential clients through targeted outreach efforts.
  • Meet or surpass sales and gross profit targets for the designated profit center.
  • Assist with in-person sales during busy periods, actively engaging with customers to drive business.
  • Address customer concerns regarding pricing and product returns, ensuring resolution.
  • Coordinate with suppliers about the delivery of customer orders as necessary.
  • Follow up with clients on outstanding quotes and orders.
  • Support external sales and counter teams with order processing and customer inquiries.
  • Contribute to team efforts by participating in all profit center activities.
  • Notify the Profit Center Manager and Credit Department of any changes in a client’s business that may affect credit risk.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Profit Center Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in customer service or internal sales, with entrepreneurial experience being an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills, particularly over the phone.
  • Ability to identify new client opportunities and enhance sales with existing clients.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Skilled in understanding customer needs and providing effective solutions to close sales.
  • Ability to learn and utilize relevant software for order management.
  • Basic mathematical skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience or knowledge of plumbing and construction products relevant to the profit center.
  • Familiarity with Trend and Eclipse software.
