Bakery Team Member

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Team Member to join our team at Cafe Bon Bon Inc. as a Pastry Chef Assistant. This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Pastry Preparation: Prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays.
- Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Baking and Decorating: Bake mixed dough and batters, and frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
- Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
- Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect kitchen and food service areas.
- Machinery Operation: Operate machinery.
- Inventory Organization: Organize and maintain inventory.
- Sales and Merchandising: Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods.
- Special Orders: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Demands: Handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
