What You'll Do

As an Actuarial Planning Analyst, Corporate Actuarial, you'll play a critical role in our corporate planning and analysis team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and Applying Professional Experience: You'll use your expertise in spreadsheets, databases, and statistical software to compile and categorize data used in planning and exposure database.
  • Maintaining and Updating Corporate Planning Tool: You'll be responsible for maintaining and updating our corporate planning tool for plan and reforecast cycles.
  • Producing Analyses and Exhibits: You'll produce analyses supporting assumptions that go into our corporate planning tool, as well as exhibits and analysis relating to measuring and tracking of exposure.
  • Communicating Key Concepts and Findings: You'll clearly and effectively communicate key concepts and findings related to all responsibilities outlined above.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Actuarial Planning Analyst, Corporate Actuarial to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:

  • University Degree in Quantitative Field: A degree in Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, or Statistics is required.
  • Completion of CAS Exams: You'll have completed 3 to 5 exams of the Casualty Actuarial Society.
  • Relevant Experience: You'll have 1 to 2 years of relevant full-time experience in property & casualty insurance planning, financial modeling, pricing, or reserving.
  • Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills: You'll have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong Programming Skills: You'll have strong programming skills, including efficient use of Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, VBA, etc.).
  • Experience with SAS, Tableau, Python, or R: Experience with these tools would be an asset.
  • Ability to Work in a Busy Operation: You'll be able to perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure.
  • Team Player: You'll be a team player, adaptable to a changing and fast-paced environment.
