About the Role

VTRAC Consulting Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Actuary to join our team of experts in the field of actuarial science and data analysis. As a Senior Actuary, you will play a key role in driving business value through the creation of innovative tools and the implementation of cutting-edge actuarial and insurance techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Intelligence and Analytics: Develop and maintain advanced analytical tools to drive business decisions, including data summary and distribution, and self-service capabilities for internal stakeholders.
  • Pricing and Risk Management: Conduct pricing reviews across various business lines, including rate projections, loss ratio analysis, competitive evaluations, regulatory filings, and impact calculations using actuarial methods, data analytics, and advanced statistical techniques.
  • Research and Development: Perform in-depth research and data analysis to address informational needs across all business segments, and research and implement cutting-edge analytics tools and methodologies to drive business value.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with regulators to submit and complete mandatory filings, and effectively communicate with stakeholders to ensure actionable outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Professional Certifications: Completion of 4 to 6 exams from the Casualty Actuarial Society.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in an actuarial or data analysis role, ideally within the P&C insurance sector or a closely related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAS, SQL, and Excel, with familiarity with Emblem software a plus.
